Great Ocean and Garden Views. This two bedroom unit offers king beds in both the upper and lower bedrooms which is great for couples vacationing together. The remodeled kitchen has an elongated larger kitchen area with very nice wood cabinets and granite tile counter top. Kitchen counter top provides food prep and serving area as well as dining table with four counter height bar stools, which makes the living room area much larger. Both bathrooms have been updated with nice cabinets. The upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower while the downstairs bath has a shower with a glass door. Living room area has all new furniture purchased in 2022 including two recliners, a couch that opens up to a queen sized bed to sleep additional guests, and a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall. Upstairs bedroom has Hawaiian rattan furniture and an additional flat screen TV. Lower bedroom has brand new furniture purchased in 2023. The kitchen is well stocked, beach towels are stored in the bathroom, and the lanai closet is full of beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, and coolers. Enjoy beautiful ocean and sunset views from the lanai with bar height table and comfortable swivel chairs.

  We just rented 3 condos for our group of 11 ladies celebrating 60th birthdays. This was our 2nd time renting and again was extremely pleased with our stay. These units come with everything from a fully stocked kitchen to beach towels, boogie boards, snorkeling equip etc. One of the units needed a good cleaning of the carpets but otherwise very clean. Everything was within walking distance and the views from the lanai were spectacular. We all would definitely return to this resort.

  Had a great stay in unit 342. The unit is among the best equipped we have ever stayed at in Hale Kamaole. Tons of kitchen and BBQ equipment, and an amazingly well-stocked beach supply closet (Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrellas; boogie boards; snorkel equipment; sand toys for young children).

  Only suggestion for the owners is to look at replacing the mattresses, which are showing signs of sagging.

  This condo was very well equipped. There were plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, some beach towels, coolers and some snorkel gear. I wish I had known as I rented beach chairs and cooler from Turo.
  It's less than a mile to shops and restaurants and right across the street from a nice beach. We walked to meals often. It's less than 4 miles to Ulua Beach which is a nice snorkel beach with turtles. We would stay here again.

  Hale Kamaole is an amazing place today. This condo is a great size with open vaulted ceilings. The condo is well equipped with everything you could possibly need, both in the kitchen and on the beach! The grounds at Hale Kamaole are beautiful, as is the view of the ocean. The pools are a great place to lounge and read a book and the barbecues are the social hub of the complex. The location is perfect, with great beaches nearby and shops/restaurants within walking distance.

  We stayed for a week in a 3rd floor condo. I thought going up and down the stairs would have been a bit much (there is an elevator), but using the stairs was really not a big deal at all plus I got my steps in! I personally sat out on the lanai every morning and watched the palm trees sway and the ocean was lovely! The condo was very well-equipped, and had nice finishes. My only negative was not having air conditioning in the kitchen/living room area. The condo grounds were beautiful and well-kept and the pool was nice and clean. All the staff was friendly and the condo itself was pretty close to most things on that side of the island. My family would definitely stay here again!

  Such an easy rental to settle into from the after hour check-in, to the air conditioned bedrooms, and a well stocked unit in 342. It was our first time to the Kihei area and we will return for longer next time. Many beaches to choose from, amazing sunsets, café’s to accommodate everyone’s tastes and Foodland for groceries. Convenience is key when I travel with the family and Kihei checked all the boxes. We made it to Paia Fish Market (Southside) on our last night, and I’m glad I didn’t find it the first night, you must go here. Horhitos food truck’s fish tacos were outstanding. Shave ice and açai bowls from Beach Street Shave Ice!! Best cinnamon buns ever from “Cinnamon Bun Place”. Keawakapu Beach is a hidden gem for a day with beach chairs and a cooler for cold drinks and snacks. Mulligan’s on the Blue for a sunset dinner and drinks. Maui Brewing Company for great food/setting away from the beaches. So much more to discover next visit.

  We stayed for a week with 3 adults and 3 kids, and the condo was everything we needed it to be. The condo itself was great. The pool and grounds were great. The location was great with access to the beach, and the rest of the Kihei area.
  
  One note about the beach nearest to the condo is that it can get pretty rough in the afternoon/evening, but is much calmer and good for kids in the morning. But that means its great for boogie boarding or body surfing in the afternoon.
  
  One thing that was a little weird was that the upstairs mattress was upside down. We weren't sure if that was on purpose or not. It was fine that way, but might have been more comfortable if flipped the other way.

  We really enjoyed this rental. Out on the deck, we had a great view of the property's trees, flowers, and pool. Beyond was the beach and ocean. The condo had 2 amazing King beds and a hideaway bed. There were 2 bathrooms. A nice kitchen with plenty of pots/pans. After a full day of playing, we enjoyed watching a movie in the relaxing living room. I really recommend playing at the beach 3 min. away. Snorkel equipment and chairs are in the deck closet. Also the whale watching tour out of Wailuku and the Maui Ocean center were the best parts of our vacation. For dinner, we enjoyed the great varieties of food/taco trucks.

  My family and I rented three condos at Hale Kamaole for a week. We had two third floor units that shared a common entry and one on the first floor directly below which functioned as not only accommodation for the grandparents, but also as a pool house with easy access to the wonderful lawn. It is hard to describe how great this worked out for my two daughters, their husbands and three young kids and us "senior" members of the group. All the units were immaculate. And, while completely satisfactorily furnished, they weren't fancy enough so that we had to worry about normal wear and tear from the kids. Everything we needed and wanted was provided. A welcome surprise was the closet on the lanai, which was full of toys and buckets and other fun swim things for the littles. I gave management 5 stars, but we never saw them as the checkin process was easy and we had no issues to ask them to resolve. We did become friendly with the many staff who were out raking the lawns and patrolling the grounds. They were all very pleasant. Maui is taking Covid seriously and we only went indoors for necessary shopping. Everyone was masked and I saw several people wearing shirts that said, "Mask up for Maui County," a sentiment we heartedly agreed with.
  
  The only update I'd suggest would be to strip the tennis courts for Pickleball. We played in the absence of striping - just for fun - and while there, several others came hoping for a Pickleball game. It would require hardly any investment with a big benefit. We will be back.

  2nd time at the location but in a different room. Location is perfect, right across from Kam III and walking distance to shops in restaurants. Room 342 was great. Everything you need from beach chairs, laundry, air conditioned bedrooms and a full kitchen. Only issue is there was workers in our room putting in a new water heater and connecting to the solar panels. The workers were great, however, we should have been informed of this work prior to arriving. The renters should not have to absorb the 2 full days of inconvenience without prior notification. We could have changed some plans to limit the impact.

  Our first time staying at Hale Kamaole, and it was excellent. The check in was easy, all communication was sent prior to our arrival. Condo had a well equipped kitchen, lots of towels and beach towels, as well as a few masks/snorkels, beach chairs, and umbrella. Beds is the bedrooms were very comfortable, king sized, and a/c worked well in both bedrooms. The sofa bed was not that comfortable, I’m not sure if there is such a thing as a comfortable sofa bed? Might be ok for small children. There were fans in living area, and being on the 3rd floor, a nice breeze kept it a comfortable temperature. Condo was clean and quiet. The location is fantastic, walking distance to restaurants, a few shops, and right across from the Kamaole III beach and park. Wailea, Makena State Park (beaches) a short drive away, Relatively close to the airport and Costco (25-30mins). The pools were clean and never too busy. The complex is towards the end of S. Kihei Rd which made it a quieter spot than some places. Also, it’s set back a bit from the road, so didn’t hear any traffic. The only issue was some construction in the parking lot. It was loud at times, but condo management said it was beyond their control. Looked like a pipe being replaced, so they were jack hammering the concrete. We would stay here again, very happy with the location, complex, cleanliness and value.

  This property worked perfectly for us. It is central, has close by amenities like grocery and dining, it has just about all the beach gear a family needs, and is just a close walk to the beach. Hanging out around the property is great too. My only note is that there is no central air. We had.a maintenance issue or two in our unit and they were quick to address the concern. We also left an item when we left, and they helped us arrange to get it shipped back home. We had family in a nearby unit and they also really enjoyed all that Hale Kamaole has to offer.

  I've stayed at the hale many times because of the excellent location. This unit is one of the better ones. The kitchen and lower bathroom are wonderful - and sitting at the back of the lanai gives you a great view of the ocean.
  When we were there in april/may 2018, the closet was stocked with 10(!!!) boogie boards and beach chairs - I even got to try my hand at skim boarding thanks to the well stocked closet.
  
  The king beds were comfy for both couples, and the A/C units were enough to keep our rooms cool at night.
  
  Note to owner: a *very* mild ant problem in the kitchen.

  We booked this property due to other family members booking in the same complex. I had planned on staying in Lahaina, and am very happy I was talked into this location. This was our first trip to Maui, and discovered our favourite beach was right across the street. The unit layout was perfect for my family and the pool was close. Our other family stayed in an un-rennovated unit, and we all appreciated the updated amenities in this unit.
  The beach closet is well stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, sand toys, boogie boards, coolers, and extra patio chairs. We had enough beach chairs to keep some in the car for the duration of our trip to use at other beaches, and still have some for our daily walk to the beach.
  We enjoyed the view from the lanai during all times of the day but especially in the quiet mornings. We spotted whales one day while enjoying our morning coffee before the kids got up.
  The entire complex is well maintained and clean overall. We can't wait for our next trip to Maui, I'd definitely stay here again.

  We went to Maui with family, to celebrate Christmas and for our son's wedding. Hale Kamaole was the perfect location for us. Beautiful views, nice and quiet for sleeping and relaxing, close enough to walk to shop or eat out, but it had all the amenities if we wanted to cook and eat in. We had lots of room to entertain family. Parking and getting into the complex was easy. The bonus was having a great beach right across the street, where you could play in the surf, snorkel, see turtles, or go for long walks. We could see whales playing in the ocean right from our lanai. Lawn chairs, snorkels, surf boards, etc. were all provided. Though there was air conditioning, the rooms were set up perfectly to catch the cooling breezes. We had a wonderful time and would definitely go back to stay at this location!

  I've stayed at the Hale Kamaole before, it's in a great central location of Kihei, with a big grassy park and beach right across the street, shops and restaurants to walk to. The complex has two pools with plenty of BBQ's for everyone. Unit #342 is nicely appointed, more modern/up to date than some of the other units, with excellent wifi as well. This was a great option for a family of four, lots of space for all of us, and we especially appreciated the well-stocked "beach closet" full of chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkle gear & more. We would definitely recommend Unit #342!

  It was ok, since we tried to make some changes but they did not accommodate us. Also the place was not clean, and needed upgrading in lots of ways. One side note is there were too many unmanaged kids in the pool area and else where.

    Aloha Osama, we always try to accomodate as much as possible. But, we do not offer refunds past your final due date. We tried to get your unit rebooked, but were unable to on such short notice. We are still glad you were able to make it, and we are happy you had a great time. Will you please specify the issues about the unit not being clean so that we can have housekeeping take a look?   A few units were rented by family and friends in order to attend a family destination wedding on Maui in mid-November.
  We had a perfect time : our unit had been tastefully and comfortably updated with appreciated extra amenities such as beach chairs, picnic hampers, loads of beach towels and that terrific washing machine.
  
  The views from the balconies were so marvelous, and the whole experience restful.
  
  We hope to return many times.
