  We have stayed at many 1 bedroom condos in the Hale Kamaole complex. This has now become our favorite condo. The view from the lanai encompasses the mountain on the left and the famous Kam 3 beach to the right so you have the wonderful sunrise and sunsets to admire. Not all the units have this wonderful view. The renovation was thoughtfully done by increasing the kitchen size and it has an incredible amount of counter space. The living area is tastefully decorated, the large couch comfortable and they even put the mini split A/C in the middle of the room instead of on the lanai end wall which was brilliant! If you are looking for a rental that has it all this is the one. We will definitely be back!!

  This apartment has been tastefully updated and is in a great location with views of the ocean and the mountains. Some of the furniture has been updated and some has not. 3 of the 4 dining chairs were either torn or showing wear and the windows and shower door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. It would have been helpful to have had instruction sheets on how things work like the lights, fan and tvs.. With some tlc this unit would be premium. In spite of these details we had a lovely vacation again, for the 20+th year at Hale Kamaole.

  We had a very relaxing time at Hale Kamaole in Kihei. Unit 206 is nicely renovated with attractive and comfortable furniture, and modern appliances. The beach gear in the closet was appreciated. The unit was clean and tidy for our arrival, and the office staff were helpful with a couple of requests we had. Our restaurant finds this trip were Fred’s Mexican for Taco Tuesday...go early, 4:00. And we liked Nalu’s for dinner. Our favourite activity was doing the seashore walk south through the bird sanctuary and on to the beaches and walkways in Wailea.

  Beautiful condo, great location, everything you would need inside the condo from beach necessities to condiments in the kitchen! The only downside of our stay was the road construction on south Kihei road and the fact that our entrance to Hale Kamaole was blocked off because of some work being done to the water pipes. This made it pretty difficult to enter and leave the condos by car and walking. Other than that, we had a fantastic time and will be returning again!

  We really enjoyed our condo at Hale Kamaole. The kitchen was fully stocked and so was the storage area off our lanai. Gear in the storage area included: beach chairs, snorkel equipment, sand toys, and many other items. Our children reported that the person who checks the pool in the evening takes pictures of them and needs to send 10 pictures to his boss 10 times in a 60 minute time frame to prove that the pool was checked. This made our children uncomfortable and we asked the person who checks the pool (Lance) to no longer take pictures of our children. Is it really necessary to take pictures of children?

  Amazing location. From the patio, you can see the ocean on the right, and gardens and the pool on the left and straight down from the patio is "the office". I enjoyed having this amazing view every morning with my breakfast and coffee. The Kamaole beach is just a short walk away.
  
  The condo was clean, artfully decorated with Hawaii-themed art, kitchen had everything you needed to make meals. There were salt, pepper, cinnamon, other spices, canola oil and some coffee left in the cupboards but not much else though.
  
  I would definitely stay here again. 4.5+ stars!
  
  The only minor con's were:
  -no beach equipment at all - not even chairs!
  -screen door to patio was very squeaky and had holes that would let insects in - had to promptly close the door at night
  -big dresser drawers - some of them were hard to open
  -some of the big towels smelled a little moldy when wet
  -some of the kitchen utensils needed cleaning before use
  -there were only like 5 dishwasher pods given for 10-day stay - I ended up handwashing dishes most of the time
  -maintenance/cleaning probably never look in the bathroom mirror cabinet - should be cleaned out!
  
  These are all very minor things; I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or family.

  -Maui thai fusion place right by Safeway for great pad thai
  -Foodland poke bowls
  -Forks and Salad for good-value salads
  -Surf lesson from Surf Shack by cove beach
  -Scuba diving off of Makena landing and Mala pier in Lahaina (amazing!); we rented gear from Scuba Shack nearby and Maui diving in Lahaina
  -Makena Big and Little beaches

  In past years we stayed at a different condo. We decided to expand our horizons and stay somewhere else. We were very happy with our decision. Hale Kamaole was recommended to us by a relative. It was very clean and we could sit and view the ocean/sunsets from our lanai. We did want to see the ocean from our place. The kitchen was very well stocked with all we needed. The refrigerator had filtered water and we appreciated that. We were within walking distance to some of the places we liked to eat. We love Coconuts for the best fish tacos but we drove to the original location. The Cinnamon Roll Place has the biggest and best rolls. We were happy with the young lady in the office. She answered all our questions. We are hoping to come back next year!!

  This was our first trip to Maui and were not sure of the area to stay. I stumbled on this property by accident, and after further research booked it.
  
  We visited several other areas during our stay, and we agreed that this was the BEST place to lay our heads. The property is adorable, well maintained and down to earth. We personally don't like ostentatious, showy places but prefer quaint, authentic stays. Hale Kamaole delivered!
  
  It is at the edge of town, so it's quiet but close to shops and eateries. The beach just across the street is a cute little cove that had a nice grassy area where we could watch the sunset. The grounds and property are well kept, and the staff we interacted with were fantastic.
  
  The condo itself was perfect. It is a spacious, comfortable one bedroom that is well appointed with everything we needed (towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen and cooking utensils). The knives were sharp - I could actually cut the pineapples we bought from fruit stands. Not having a decent knife in places we have rented is a major pet peeve of mine.
  
  The artwork and decor was amazing (I was surprised the owners left them out). The place was immaculate. Everything was sparkling clean. The furniture was comfy and upscale homey.
  
  Overall, this property is a lovely little gem. If you're looking for a luxury resort, this is not it. If you're looking for a wonderful place in the best location on Maui, this is it!

  We had a lovely vacation in Kihei, and this condo enhanced it even more. LOVE the view (WOW!), the proximity to the public beach, the king size bed, and the AC in the living room! We plan to book this one again.

  My wife and I have rented this suite several times. Good location with close proximity to the beach and good view of the ocean especially whale watching from the lanai. Suite always clean with reasonable appliances and kitchen. We will be back next year.

  Our Hale Kamaole condo provided an excellent ocean view from a fully equipped, clean & spacious well decorated unit located less than 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. The master bedroom contained the most comfortable king size bed & pillows that contributed to a refreshing nights sleep typically only experienced at home. The staff went above & beyond to assist us with all our questions & helped to extend our stay in Maui. Hale Kamaole had a wonderful family atmosphere and is a place we would highly recommend.

  Halekamole was the perfect location to enjoy the whole island and kihei especially. Loved the grounds, room was perfect. no complaints.
  The porch provided an amazing view of both the sunrise and sunset and of course the ocean and haleakala.
