This two bedroom corner unit with loft has an Ocean View from the living room & kitchen. Additional side window provides extra light. There is a King bed located in the master bedroom, the loft is enclosed with a queen bed, and the downstairs bedroom provides 2 twins beds. Comfy couch and sitting chairs in the living room. Kitchen has been remodeled. Lower bathroom shower enclosure. New walk in shower in the up stairs master bath redone in 2014. Well equipped condo. Location was great with Kam III beach right across the street, shops and restaurants within walking distance. The kids loved the pools, they swan every day, sometimes twice.   Amazing experience on the island, at the property, and in the condo. This was our first time at this property and this unit’s location is spectacular...quiet, great ocean view, sunset view, access to pool and grills...I’d be hard pressed to rent a different unit. The condo itself was MUCH larger than the pictures make it look. Our family of four easily fit and we hosted another family of four multiple times through the week for lunches and dinners and even with 8 people, there was plenty of room in the condo.
  If we make it back to this part of the island, we’d absolutely stay here again.

  My wife and I enjoyed our week plus as usual. HK is a wonderful property located across the street from one of the best beach parks and the great trail south towards the harbor. Tough choice every morning - walk that way or north towards Beach 1 and Charley Young Beach. The condo was comfortable and well equipped as usual at HK. One thing we liked being at the back of the complex was the relative quiet. Balancing the peace and quiet of the location is the need to drive to some of our favorite places like South Maui Garden and Isana. But life is tradeoffs, right.

  This unit has everything you need for a lovely beach vacation with family. We had a great time and the location can’t be beat! Right by the beach and a small walk to shave ice, ABC store, cinnamon roll place, etc. We could see whales jumping from our lanai, we could hear the blowing of the shell at sunset too! The sunset views are also unreal from the lanai. Lots of storage room for luggage and tons of room for your clothes in the dressers. Unit was clean and the ground were well kept with beautiful flowers and landscaping. Washer and dryer worked well. Upgrades from the listing pics were bigger flat screen tv, and newer kitchen appliances! BBQs were cleaned daily. Staff was lovely. Pool was clean and a nice temperature. Some things that would have been nice to have: a beach umbrella (we ended up buying one from Costco, so there is one now in the lanai closet) AC in living area (there’s AC in one of the upstairs bedrooms and the downstairs bedroom, so one bedroom doesn’t have AC and no AC in main living area, so we used lots of fans for airflow and kept bedroom doors open). The downstairs beds (twins) are quite firm, and the loft bedroom queen bed is very soft. The king bed was nice. Upstairs shower was being finicky with the temperature and the dishwasher needs a good cleaning (looks like someone put their sandy snorkel gear in there possibly?). Some thing we could have brought to staff attention but we didn’t mind using just the downstairs shower and hand washing most of our dishes. Overall we would definitely recommend this unit and complex and would love to come back here some day! Thank you!

  The condo is in a quiet location at the south end of Kihei, and at the back of the complex away from the beach road. There is noise from the lane in the early morning. The common areas of the property were very well maintained. The condo was generally good with a large primary bedroom and spacious living room. The kitchen was tired and a bit cluttered with excess items, but everything worked, which is all that mattered to us. Great beaches very nearby, and nice area for walking.

  We had an amazing time on our vacation. The condo was fully equipped with everything we needed plus all the beach equipment to make your day at the beach more enjoyable. We took the lawn chairs down to the beach to watch the nightly sunsets. The beds were comfortable. The lanai was a great place to sit in the morning and drink my coffee and enjoy the view. The landscapers kept the grounds clean and the pool was maintained daily (I could see the pool from the lanai). I will be back for sure in 245!

  The grounds crew worked hard every day. Trimming, cutting, painting, sweeping and racking. The place looked great every day! We loved having the pools and the choice of gas or charcoal grills.   Property location is great - across the street from Kamaole Beach Park III. Unit 245 has nice ocean views but is one of the farthest properties from the beach. Fortunately there is free parking at the beach so we drove down. Condo is well stocked with beach supplies and kitchen supplies. We also loved that it’s actually a 3 bedroom unit as the loft is enclosed and has a queen bed! DVD player did not work (which we discovered after bringing home a movie from Redbox), TV’s were very small. Wifi was so slow it was worthless and we ended up using up all of our cellular data during the week. Also the only AC unit downstairs is in the bedroom...so you have to choose a private comfortable bedroom with a hot kitchen and living area OR zero privacy and a freezing bedroom temperature in order to cool the rest of the house. Despite the downsides, Maui is a great place to vacation and this was an affordable property.

  The condo has probably the best view in the whole Hale Kamaole complex. The condo itself is in average shape, but needs some TLC (e.g. bedroom doors won't close, screen door is very loud, stairway light flickers, bathroom sink got plugged). Lots of equipment for use at the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with the pots, utensils, etc (although the cutting knives were dangerously dull). The Hale Kamaole office staff were very helpful, when needed. The big downside was the cleanliness of the condo. The carpet desperately needs a good steam cleaning and the main bathroom shower had hair in it from the previous guests.
  
  Overall, I'd recommend the condo, but with caveats.

  Our family was able to enjoy home-cooked meals while looking at the ocean from the spectacular view of our condo! We found this place to be very accommodating with sleeping arrangements as well as the dining area and living room. We also appreciated borrowing the chairs and beach equipment in the spare closet. We found this location perfect for all the activities we wanted to do. It was nice to have access to the barbecue and poor Daley. We especially love the daily sunrise and sunset walks because it was so close to the beach access, we got to see turtles and whales breaching almost every day! We would definitely come back again!

  Chose this condo for it's sunset views without hot sun on the lanai, side window that lets amazing light into the common space and an enclosed loft bedroom where we could put baby to bed by 7pm. Unit was very well equipped, with great extras like a clothes drying rack, umbrella, drawer of extra light bulbs (need halogens), headlamp for barbeque or evening walks south where it is poorly lit and a bathroom scale. The loft bedroom would benefit from an air conditioner and the window at the top of the stairs could use a blind to help reduce the heat from direct sunlight. We don't care for the carpet (except on the stairs), but at least we could roll up/store the runners from bathroom, kitchen and entry. The knives in the knife block are too dull for safety, but the wooden steak knives were great. The kitchen cupboard door next to the window needs 180 degree hinges to reduce the number of bumps and bruises. Only 1 of the 3 beach chairs was okay and the umbrella is on its last legs.
  The Property Maintenance staff were great - very quick to respond and deal with any issues.
  Kudos to the construction crew directly behind us - they continually watered the site to keep the red dust down and only made noise between 7am and 4pm.
  We even loved the longer walk from the beach - since we were on the beach every morning and many late afternoons, it was a welcome bit of exercise.
  We ate at many great places: Breakfast, lunch and Taco Tues @ Freds, Kihei Cafe, 5 Palms, Sarentos, Tommy Bahamas, Fleetwoods, Sea House in Napili, Kula Lodge, Threes and of course, coffee/lattee during many of our sunrise walks. loved the Aquarium, Maui Historic Park, Makawao, Paia, Baby Beach and of course, Kamaole III Beach (really is the best!).

  Hale Kamaole remains our favorite Maui destination, and 245 our favorite HK condo. Kamaole beach III is right across the street, and restaurants, shopping, and other beaches are a short walk away. The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the pools are a wonderful option to the beach any time of day. The view from 245 is remarkable, the toy closet is always well-stocked, and its position at the top of the complex makes for quiet sleeping. As for the staff, well, if you have questions or need a light bulb changed, they respond immediately. We've already booked next year's vacation...

  We stayed in unit 245 with four adults and 2 children for 16 days in November 2018. The view from this unit is AMAZING! The unit was clean, and well supplied with equipment. While the kitchen has not been updated, it has everything you need. With six people, two of us would frequently eat on the lanai, but there are extra chairs in the unit that you can crowd in around the round table. The beds, and bedding were very comfortable, and the A/C in the two main bedrooms were noisy, but effective. We liked that there was never a shortage of parking. There is some construction starting at the back of the site, so there will likely be some construction noise for a couple of years. This always ended by 3 pm, and we were usually out for the day.
