  The unit is in a good location on the property (close to beach and pool). I was pleased with the kitchen appliances and tools available. The drop down shade on the lanai was used daily because the unit faces the sun and warms up quickly. I was disappointed in the pull out sofa as it did not have a usable mattress pad. I had to sleep on pillows to prevent myself from sleeping directly on the pointy mattress springs. I communicated my concerns to the front desk but did not have anyone resolve the issue. Because of that, I would only recommend this unit for 2 people and not 4 since the sofa is not a comfortable sleeping arrangement.

  We had a great time in Maui and loved #220. The grounds are lovely and the staff, esp Brian(or Kevin, forgot his name) Keoni, Zaldy very helpful! The unit was nice, clean..could use a lil update but was very comfortable. It was just us girls & the sofa bed was hard to open so one of us just slept on the couch. Would defintely stay again and recommend to friends!

  We have stayed in this particular condo #220 many times since 2006 and have always been so happy with it. However since there was a change of owners we have definitely noticed a decline in condition of the condo. This time, (and I must mention it has been about 5 years since we stayed in this condo)we were well aware of how the furniture is generally worn out and soiled now. The carpeting was in need of cleaning. The stocking of lawn chairs was very disappointing to say the least. The original chairs from years ago are still in the closet and are all torn and unsafe. There was 2 newer web style chairs but they are heavy and awkward to carry. I would encourage the owner to visit the condo and do some general updating. At the least, the property needs a deep clean. I would still recommend this property due to its great location and the staff. They are great!

  This is the second time we've rented unit 220; and as last time, we enjoyed it. In particular, the location is what we wanted. There is some room for improvement; we found the bed to be much too soft for our taste. Minor issues were a lack of a lighter for the outside BBQ, the chef's knives were all dull with no sharpening stone, and the flashlight was inoperable and of poor quality, and it would be helpful if there were more than 2 ice trays in the freezer. On the positive side, there was adequate beach equipment, the unit was nicely cleaned, and all the kitchen appliances worked fine.

  Overall, a very nice unit. Lots of space and we liked the beach chairs and such. Great location across from beach park and nice sunsets. Only two things of note:
  - while the bedroom cools down nicely with AC the rest of the unit stays about 80 degrees even with fan and doors open, at least when we went in late July 2021
  - we must have had the junior Olympic squad above us as starting about 7am running and jumping went on most of the day; now it was Olympics 2021 week, so could partially understand - talked to front desk but with being completely booked no room to move to; my suggestion next time don't book a family with preschoolers on a top floor unit

  The Hale Kamaole is a great place to stay and be close to the best beaches in Kihei and Wailea. Pictures were accurate and unit was clean. We were glad to have a kingsize bed. The 2 pools were great to cool off in and the only small negative was AC in bedroom only. The storage closet had beach chairs, coolers and boogie baords to use. We enjoyed our stay!

  We stayed at the Hale Kamaole for 23 nights in unit 220. Most enjoyable. This was our second stay at this complex. We stayed in a different unit last time (nice also). This condo has been tastefully updated and met all our needs for comfort. The condo was very well equipped with beach umbrellas ample beach chairs and coolers. There were also beach toys and boogie boards which we never used but were there if we did. There were lots of dishes and cookware, dishwasher and washer & dryer. The location was/is great across from the beach. The addition of the gas BBQ's to the briquette ones was nice too, we used both during our stay. The bbq's are a great place to visit with other guests and residents at the complex and share places and tours to explore. The grounds were very well kept with ample room for kids to play and two pools with umbrellas for shade. Staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend to others.

  This was our first trip to Maui but we had been provided a lot of detail from our family members who have been quickly making it a regular location to go. The one place they all agreed on was Hale Kamole as a rental place. They were certainly right. The overall complex is clean and well kept. Generally pretty quiet and the local on site amenities like the BBQs and pool were well kept and convienent. It's right across from one of the best beaches in the area, particularly if you have kids.
  
  As for this unit, 220 it was nicely decorated and served us well. If I had one comment to make it would be that there were perhaps a few less sundries and cleaning supplies that one might expect. We were there for 10 nights and 9 days and weren't provided any dishcloths to wash dishes that didn't go in the dishwasher though we did find towels tucked away later, nothing to use in the sink so we bought a couple sponges so we weren't burning through the one roll of paper towel. TP and bathroom supplies were few and far between so just anticipate having to stock some of that up for your trip, not something I'm used to from similar rental properties.
  
  The deck has a storage locker like all these units do and this one is definitely well stocked with all kinds of beach stuff, there really isn't anything you'll be lacking in that regard.
  
  Beds are quite comfy and overall despite some warm days while there we had a pretty reasonable time keeping the place comfortable day and night.
  
  Highly recommend the complex and certainly this unit was a good pick, we'd stay again.

  Only one issue, for some reason, the internet service from the units router would not work due to an "incorrect password". So, we used an adjoining units signal for our stay, but that should have been fixed.
  
  Overall, we like the Hale Kamole units very much, and will return sometime soon.

    Aloha Paul, I'm so sorry to hear that you had an issue with Wifi. Next time you visit us, please let us know of the issue when it happens so we can fix it immediately. We have maintenance on hand who would have loved to fix your router :) All units have their own specific passwords for security, we wouldn't want you joining an open link for security purposes.   We stayed for a week. Loved the location. It is steps away from a perfect beach and a super short drive to anywhere in Kihei or Wailea. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Boogie boards, chairs and snorkel equipment are in the storage on the patio.

  Overall the unit and accommodations were very nice! Some basic amenities were missing ( a mix up with telephone services... and some household items could be updated) however there was a change in ownership of this condo so I am certain things will be worked out for future bookings.
  We could actually see the whales jumping in the ocean from our Lanai...
  Hale Kamaole is a lovely cooperative community to stay at...lots of green space, pools and close to the beaches, shopping and restaurants. Bus stop is close by if you don't have a car rental - there are lots of amenities within walking distance.
  Great place to relax and enjoy the wonders of Maui...
