  This was our 8th visit to Maui and have always stayed in various condos at the Hale Kamaole. The unit has some dated aspects (carpet on the stairs and not as updated bathroom) but in general it was fantastic for us. The best feature was the loft air conditioning. The amenities provided for use at the beach etc were a little lacking- one broken and one functioning folding beach chair and very little snorkelling gear but the view from the lanai cannot be beat. Had a malfunction with the dishwasher and maintenance were there in minutes and had it fixed. As well they fixed a loose toilet. Super great service from them. The grounds and pool were impeccable as always.

  We had a wonderful experience at Hale Kamaole. Our unit was beautiful , amazing location to pools and the beach. Everything was clean and comfortable, easy to feel at home! I would definitely stay there again, especially with a family. The sunsets right across the road were gorgeous and going down for picnics to watch them, became a favorite part of the day.

  HK 202 is a nice spot for a family vacation. Owners need to update the mattress/frame in the mainfloor bedroom and the sofa bed mattress is awful! Not suitable for a kid to sleep on. There was also no blankets for the sofa bed mattress. Lanai closet was fully stocked, so important, and there were plenty of towels. Some cleaning supplies would also be helpful for those of us who stay long. A decent broom/dustpan to help keep sand cleaned up!

  Our stay was lovely, apart from the weather not exactly cooperating. The unit was equipped with most everything we needed. Lots of dishes and pots etc. Just missing some dish cloths to wash the dishes. And the cheese grater is broken.
  The couch needs to be replaced and the bed downstairs isn't great. Also you should look at the dryer it takes forever to dry a load. The location was great, we got to watch the marathon runners go by early in the morning and could watch the sun set on the lanai at night. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again.

  We returned once again to Hale Kamaole, our fourth time. We keep coming back because this wonderful condo complex is perfect - nice pool and grounds, right across the street are wonderful beaches with turtles, and we've found nice recently-updated units.
  
  This year we arrived late at night and - uncharacteristically - there were a couple cleaning issues with our unit. Nothing terrible, just a few things missed. I called the after hours number and almost immediately the Head of Operations for the entire complex was at our door. He bent over backwards and personally took care of everything. Pure aloha spirit! We were amazed not only at how quickly the minor issues were taken care of by the manager, but also at how he followed up the next day and then again a few days later to make sure everything was OK. And it was!
  
  We have long loved coming to Hale Kamaole for the amenities and beach access. We'll keep coming back because of how well they treat guests.

  We are a family of five and had come to Maui after a week on the Big Island. The unit was as advertised. Between the loft and sofa bed, each kid had their own sleeping accommodation. Furnishings weren't new, but were fine for our stay. Location is great, with just the beach road between us and the sand. The grassy area across the road was always busy and fun for people watching. Only material issue is that the master A/C wasn't able to keep up very well (downstairs bedroom A/C was much more powerful). Otherwise stay was great for the family. Not fancy, but a good beach rental.
